{"id":1234,"date":"2017-12-31T17:42:19","date_gmt":"2017-12-31T22:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/?p=1234"},"modified":"2017-12-31T17:42:59","modified_gmt":"2017-12-31T22:42:59","slug":"leftover-turkey-chili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/?p=1234","title":{"rendered":"Leftover Turkey Chili"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/chili.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1240 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/chili-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"chili\" width=\"565\" height=\"1004\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/chili-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/chili-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/elainecarroll.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/chili.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 565px) 100vw, 565px\" \/><\/a>We bought an Instant Pot (IP) during a black Friday sale at Walmart (Canada) for just under $49 (how could I pass up a half off kind of deal??).\u00a0 \u00a0 I&#8217;ve made a few beef stews up (just throwing this and that into it) and love it.\u00a0 With Christmas just passed, I need to use up my leftover turkey so I&#8217;m attempting turkey chili.\u00a0 Sure it&#8217;s not ground turkey, but I think it&#8217;ll be ok.\u00a0 So here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve done&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 med. onions, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 chopped red peppers<\/li>\n<li>4 c. water<\/li>\n<li>1 bag of dried red kidney beans (you can use other kinds like pinto)<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp chili powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp cayenne<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp paprika<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<li>about\u00a03 c. chopped turkey<\/li>\n<li>2 large cans diced tomatoes (796 ml)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preparation<\/strong>: Saut\u00e9 onion and red pepper in the IP until softened. Rinse beans well and add to IP along with 4 c. water. Pressure cook for 30 min.\u00a0 I used the meat\/stew setting and decreased it to 30 min. from its 45 min. default.
